Television personality Gemma Collins has unveiled a dramatic weight loss transformation, dropping two dress sizes after using weight loss injections. The 43-year-old, who turns 44 this month, shared her new look on Instagram, declaring she is ready to 'live her best life' without the distress of constant dieting.
Collins revealed she has partnered with Yazen, a company providing GLP-1 weight loss injections with support from doctors, psychologists and dietitians. She described feeling 'free' after years of struggling with her weight, saying she has finally found something that works for her.
The reality star has been open about previous weight loss attempts, including a hypno gastric band, a month-long juice retreat, and a fibre-only diet that helped her lose 20lbs in a week. Between 2019 and 2024, she is reported to have lost around three stone.
While many fans praised her refreshed appearance, some expressed scepticism. One comment read: 'Here we go - another celebrity joining the trend,' while another warned: 'As soon as you stop you put it all back ON.' Others questioned the fate of her fibre diet, which she had previously hailed as a game-changer.
Nutritionist Niki Woods cautioned that GLP-1 injections can lead to significant muscle loss if not managed properly. She advised users to focus on high-quality nutrition, adequate protein, and strength training to preserve muscle mass.
Collins, who is engaged to Rami Hawash, said she has been 'bullied and tortured' over her looks for years. 'Only if you're overweight do you know the struggle,' she said in a video. She is approaching her weight management responsibly under medical supervision.
