The entertainment world is mourning the loss of Carrie Anne Fleming, the acclaimed actress best known for her roles in the hit television series Supernatural and iZombie, who has passed away at the age of 55. Fleming died peacefully on 26th February with her loved ones by her side, following a battle with breast cancer, as confirmed by her representative.
Emotional Tribute from Co-Star Jim Beaver
In a deeply moving and heartfelt tribute, Fleming's Supernatural co-star Jim Beaver revealed that he had fallen in love with her during their time working together on the popular US drama. Beaver, who played Bobby Singer on the show, described Fleming as his "soul mate" and shared that they "loved each other," though distance and circumstances prevented them from pursuing a relationship.
A Bond Forged on Set
Beaver, whose wife Cecily died of cancer in 2024, expressed his profound grief in a lengthy Facebook post, stating: "To find a soul mate once in life is something of a miracle. To find one twice is almost unimaginable." He praised Fleming as "a powerhouse of vitality and goodwill" with a "rapturous laugh and utterly adorable personality that didn't seem to have an off switch."
The actor explained that while they shot Supernatural in Canada where Fleming lived, he resided in Southern California, creating geographic and legal barriers that kept them apart. "Had certain laws and maps been different, I'm not sure I would have been able to love anyone else," Beaver wrote, adding that Fleming understood him like only one other person ever had.
