The cast of the long-running ITV2 reality show The Only Way Is Essex has embarked on an exciting new chapter, filming the latest season in the picturesque setting of Vietnam. Last month, the stars jetted off to Southeast Asia for this brand-new series, bringing their signature style and drama to the JW Marriott Cam Ranh Bay Resort.
Fashion Highlights from the Vietnam Filming
Courtney Green made a stunning appearance in a dark brown long-sleeved mini dress with a low-cut neckline, showcasing her legs. She accessorised with gold sandals and a matching necklace, completing a chic and coordinated look. Dani Imbert turned heads in a daring bodycon maxi dress featuring a halter top and a high leg split, which perfectly highlighted her figure. Her blonde locks were styled into loose waves, and she added white sandals for a touch of elegance.
Elma Pazar caught the eye in a vibrant lime green mini dress with a backless detail, paired with a cream handbag for a pop of contrast. Livvy Jay looked incredible in a gold bralet and a matching sheer high-waisted skirt, accessorised with a simple gold necklace and a white handbag. Jodie Wells opted for a more casual yet stylish ensemble, wearing a multi-coloured striped crop top with a brown skirt and dark sandals.
Male Cast Members and New Additions
The male cast members also brought their fashion A-game to Vietnam. New castmember Joe Francis cut a casual figure in an off-white T-shirt and brown shorts, while Wills Childs chose an all-black look for a sleek appearance. James Benewith sported a classic combination of a white shirt and blue shorts. Junaid Ahmed wore a light blue co-ord set, and his boyfriend Joe Blackman complemented him in a blue and white striped shirt with white shorts. Recent additions to the show, twins Jonnie and Joe Gurie, were also present, adding to the dynamic group.
Notable Absences Spark Speculation
Despite the lively filming in Vietnam, the absence of two legendary TOWIE stars has raised eyebrows and sparked fears about their future on the show. Amy Childs and Lauren Goodger were notably missing from the cast trip, with sources indicating they opted to stay in Essex. A source told The Sun that both are busy with work projects and are letting the younger cast take the lead for this abroad trip. However, they will still appear in the series, filming scenes from Essex to keep fans updated on their lives.
An insider added to Daily Mail that filming will continue simultaneously in Essex and Vietnam, ensuring plenty of drama as always. Lauren Goodger, who originally joined the show in 2010 and rejoined in 2024, and Amy Childs, another OG cast member who quit in 2011 and returned in 2020, have both had significant histories with the programme, making their absence particularly notable.
Recent Cast Departures and Changes
This comes amid other cast changes, with Roman Hackett announcing his permanent departure last month to focus on the next stage of his career. Additionally, Love Island's Sammy Root and Matilda Draper have reportedly left the show. A source explained that Sammy's departure was mutual with bosses, while Matilda's role as Roman's girlfriend naturally ended with his exit. These shifts highlight the evolving nature of the TOWIE cast, blending new faces with seasoned veterans to maintain the show's appeal.
As the cast enjoys their time in Vietnam, fans can expect a mix of exotic locations, fashion-forward moments, and the usual Essex drama, all while keeping an eye on how these cast changes will unfold in the upcoming series.
