Trump Vows to Avenge US Troops, Issues Ultimatum to Iran

In a forceful national address delivered from his Mar-a-Lago resort on Sunday, former President Donald Trump vowed to 'avenge' the deaths of three US service personnel killed in the ongoing conflict with Iran. This marked his second speech to the nation within 48 hours, as he intensified his rhetoric amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Trump's Call for Retribution and Ultimatum

Trump declared, 'America will avenge their deaths and deliver the most punishing blow to the terrorists who have waged war against basically, civilization.' He framed the conflict as a battle for freedom, urging the American public to back his efforts despite growing domestic opposition.

Direct Message to Iranian Leadership

The former president issued a stark ultimatum to Iran's leaders, demanding an end to the fighting that has spread across the region. Missile attacks have targeted Israel, Arab states such as Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the UAE, as well as American military bases. Trump stated, 'These intolerable threats will not continue any longer. I once again urge the Revolutionary Guard, the Iranian military police, to lay down your arms and receive full immunity or face certain death.'

Appeal to the Iranian People

In a bold move, Trump called on the Iranian populace to rise up against their government. He encouraged them with the words, 'Be brave, be bold, be heroic and take back your country,' directly challenging the Islamic regime's authority.

Justifying the Conflict Amid Political Pressure

Trump also addressed the rationale behind the military operation, which comes at a time of increasing discontent among his Republican allies and poor polling numbers showing most Americans oppose the war ahead of the November midterm elections. He argued, 'We're undertaking this massive operation not merely to ensure security for our own time and place, but for our children and their children, just as our ancestors have done for us many, many years ago.'

Emphasizing the necessity of the actions, he added, 'This is the duty and the burden of a free people. These actions are right and they are necessary to ensure that Americans will never have to face a radical, bloodthirsty terrorist regime armed with nuclear weapons and lots of threats.'
