Mrs Willis explained, 'She has been collecting all the eggs, boxing them up, and selling them from a wooden stand in our front driveway. The family has since placed a basket on the doorstep to allow Maisie to keep selling eggs, as she works hard to earn money that goes directly into caring for her chickens, rather than keeping it for herself.

Maisie's father, Tony Willis, aged 38, was barbecuing for the party when his sister-in-law told him about the theft.
