Three schoolgirls, aged 12, 13, and 14, have been formally charged by authorities after a 14-year-old girl was brutally stabbed five times in a village park in Whittington, Worcester. Violent Attack in Village Park
The victim, a resilient teenager, was allegedly attacked at approximately 7:40 PM in the park located between Clews Close and The Tara. According to reports, she returned home covered in blood after sustaining multiple stab wounds to her back, the back of her neck, and her arm. Neighbors reported hearing screaming, which prompted emergency services to rush the injured girl to Birmingham Children's Hospital for urgent medical attention.
Medical Recovery and Police Response
Medical examinations confirmed that while the victim suffered no internal damage, she was left with significant scarring from the attack. Following treatment, she recovered at home, with her mother describing her as "the strongest and most resilient girl I know" in a statement released at the time. The mother added that her daughter was "doing okay, just very sore" after the traumatic experience.
West Mercia Police launched an immediate investigation, sealing off the park with a cordon and conducting forensic examinations. Three teenage girls were initially arrested in connection with the attack and released on bail while the police probe continued.
