Marjorie Taylor Greene engaged to pro-Trump pundit

Wedding bells are set to chime for one of America's most prominent conservative politicians. US Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, 51, has announced her engagement to her long-term partner, pro-Trump commentator Brian Glenn.

The Proposal and a Ring Fit for a Politician

The couple revealed their happy news on Monday night via a photograph posted to the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. In the snap, a beaming Greene showed off a substantial diamond ring while embracing Glenn.

According to Glenn, who spoke to the Daily Mail, the proposal took place at Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab in Washington D.C. This is the same restaurant former President Donald Trump visited earlier this year for his sole dining outing in the capital. Glenn popped the question after drinks arrived at their table, and Greene accepted.

The focus quickly turned to the congresswoman's impressive new piece of jewellery. Nishit Mehta, President and CEO of La Joya Jewelry, provided an expert assessment based on the photograph.

Mehta suggested the stone is likely an elongated cushion or radiant cut diamond weighing between five and seven carats. He noted these shapes are currently fashionable, favoured by celebrities like Zendaya and Taylor Swift.

The ring is a classic solitaire design set on a thin gold band. Mehta estimated that if the diamond is natural, its value could range from $150,000 to $400,000, depending on colour and clarity. A lab-grown diamond of similar specifications would cost significantly less, around $20,000 to $30,000.

Future Plans Amid Political Shifts

The engagement comes during a period of transition for Greene. She recently announced her intention to resign from Congress, with her last day set for January 5, 2026. She cited a desire to spend more time with family and the impact of death threats following her clash with Donald Trump.

Glenn, a correspondent for Real America's Voice, told The Washington Post he plans to leave his Washington role and relocate to Georgia with Greene. His network is reportedly building him a new studio there from which he will broadcast.

In a personal reflection, Glenn described a side of Greene the public rarely sees. 'When you take her out of politics, she's sweet. She's sweet!' he told the Post. Greene was previously married to Perry Greene for 27 years before their divorce in 2022; they share three children together.

While a wedding date remains unconfirmed, the couple appear to be looking forward to a new chapter focused on life in Georgia, away from the constant commute and pressures of Capitol Hill.
