Tommy Little has responded to speculation surrounding his radio co-host Carrie Bickmore and rumours she could be courted for a high-profile breakfast radio move on KIIS FM alongside Karl Stefanovic.
In a new interview with Stellar magazine, the comedian, 41, was asked about chatter that Carrie could be at the top of Stefanovic's wish list should he make a return to breakfast radio.
His reaction was a mix of humour, honesty and clear reluctance to see the current line-up disrupted.
'Hang on, that's my co-host! Who knows what will happen? Obviously, I love doing our show and I hope Karl doesn't end up doing a show with Carrie... because that would mean I'm not doing a show with her,' he said.
'So unless there are things I really don't know about, I hope it's just a rumour.'
The comments come amid ongoing industry speculation about potential shake-ups in Australian breakfast radio, following major departures in the sector earlier this year.
However, for Tommy the focus remains firmly on his current partnership with Carrie, with their Fox FM Melbourne drive show becoming one of Australia's most recognisable double acts.
Elsewhere in the interview, Tommy also reflected on broader changes in his life and relationships, admitting he has been working on himself and confronting past behaviour.
'It hasn't been until recently that I've really got my head out of my own a**e and realised there are things I can work on to be a better partner... hopefully get to the point of having kids with someone and making each other really happy,' he said.
'I think some of that is just maturity, and I think some of it, to be honest, is dealing with your ego and arrogance and not dismissing another person in your relationship as soon as something goes wrong. Not wanting to pack up your things and leave just because you've had a bad day or a bad fight or something like that. I just needed to do a bit of – it sounds cliché to say, but a bit of growing up.'
But it's his comments about his Carrie and Tommy co-host that are likely to spark further discussion among fans of the pair, as he makes it clear he hopes their on-air dynamic remains intact.
'Obviously, I love doing our show...' he said, underscoring just how central the partnership has become to his career.
Carrie and Tommy have long been the subject of romance rumours thanks to their on-air chemistry and flirty social media exchanges.
The pair have made several appearances together over the past year, including cuddling up at a golf tournament in Adelaide and enjoying a trip to Uluru together.
She posted a sweet snap to Instagram of herself and Tommy embracing and smiling at the LIV Golf tournament.
In March last year, Tommy took to the stage again to make jokes at his co-star's expense for The Roast of Carrie Bickmore.
However, the media personality had the crowd speculating whether he had the hots for the blonde beauty after he made a suggestive comment about her appearance.
During the roast, Tommy declared Carrie 'looks better and better' every day.
'She's just getting hotter and hotter, and if you want to know what's her secret: cosmetic surgery,' he joked.
Romance rumours between the pair come after Carrie's very public split from longtime partner Chris Walker in 2023.
