Trump Attorney Alina Habba Finalises Divorce, Establishes Florida Residence

Alina Habba, the prominent attorney and advisor to former President Donald Trump, has officially divorced her millionaire husband Gregg Reuben and relocated to Florida, where she has purchased a property in close proximity to Trump's Mar-a-Lago club. The Daily Mail has exclusively obtained documents confirming that Habba, 41, quietly filed for divorce in New Jersey Superior Court last month, with the settlement being reached swiftly.

Amicable Separation After Five-Year Marriage

Sources familiar with the situation have revealed that the divorce was amicable, with Habba initiating the proceedings. The couple, who married on December 31, 2020, had been living separate lives for some time prior to the formal separation last year. One source close to Habba described her as 'a star in her own right' and suggested that it was 'hard to live in that shadow', though they clarified that Reuben's non-political nature was not the primary reason for the split.

Gregg Reuben, founder of the New York-based parking management firm Centerpark, is a Harvard Business School graduate and serves as chair of the Transportation Department's Advisory Board. He is now Habba's second ex-husband, following her previous marriage to Matthew Eyet, with whom she shares two children. Habba and Reuben did not have children together during their five-year union.

Rising Profile in Trump's Orbit

Habba's divorce coincides with her continued ascent within Donald Trump's political and legal circles. She first emerged as Trump's personal attorney between his presidential terms, meeting him at his Bedminster golf club in New Jersey. Her role expanded rapidly, making her a recognizable MAGA loyalist known for fiery campaign trail speeches and distinctive attire.

During Trump's second term, Habba served briefly as Counselor to the President before being appointed interim Attorney for the District of New Jersey. When she failed to secure permanent confirmation from lawmakers, Trump positioned her as Senior Advisor to Attorney General Pam Bondi for all US Attorneys, a role she currently maintains.

New Beginnings in Palm Beach

With her divorce now finalised, Habba has embraced her new status by purchasing a home in Palm Beach, Florida, just down the road from Mar-a-Lago. She celebrated her independence by hosting her own New Year's Eve party at the property this year, rather than attending Trump's event at his club.

A source close to the divorce proceedings emphasised its non-contentious nature, stating: 'If there's one thing I know about Alina Habba, it's that she doesn't take s**t from anyone. She's famously described herself as a 'feisty Jersey girl.' She's widely successful, a rockstar mom, and I have no doubt she'll eventually find someone who celebrates her sparkle instead of trying to dim it. Until then, she's doing just fine being a boss.'

Habba now divides her time between Florida, New Jersey where her children attend school, and Washington, D.C. for her professional duties. Neither Habba nor Reuben provided comments to the Daily Mail regarding the divorce when contacted through their representatives.
