An investment executive accused of inundating his former business partner and his spouse with thousands of emails made a court appearance today. Simon Lyons, 45, and Farid Alizadeh, 45, co-founded Enstar Capital Ltd in 2004, overseeing developments valued at over £100 million.
In 2023, a High Court judge issued an injunction under the Protection from Harassment Act, prohibiting Lyons from harassing Mr. Alizadeh and his wife, Natasha Alizadeh, 46. Lyons now faces allegations of sending the couple thousands of emails between January 2024 and March 2025.
Representing himself, Lyons appeared at Southwark Crown Court dressed in a black shirt and chinos. Having previously denied two counts of breaching the injunction—an offence carrying a maximum sentence of five years—his trial has been scheduled for April 24, 2028.
Lyons remains on bail, with the condition that he does not contact Mr. or Mrs. Alizadeh, either directly or indirectly. He attended Clifton College public school in Bristol and currently resides in a luxury apartment on Grosvenor Crescent, near Buckingham Palace.
Among the company's major projects was the conversion of former offices into a £20 million luxury apartment development opposite the Royal Courts of Justice in central London, completed in 2015.
