Lily Allen turned heads in a daring polka dot slip dress as she humorously claimed to have discovered her infamous love rival, Madeline, during her series of Los Angeles performances.
Playful Encounter with Trisha Paytas
The 40-year-old singer, currently touring the United States following the release of her album West End Girl, looked stunning as she posed alongside influencer Trisha Paytas in a series of photos shared on Instagram. In her semi-autobiographical album, Allen addresses her ex-husband David Harbour's infidelity, singing: 'I can't trust anything that comes out of his mouth' and repeatedly asking: 'Who the f*** is Madeline?'
The album follows a turbulent period in Lily's life after the breakdown of her marriage in December, when she accused Harbour of multiple affairs, including a three-year relationship with a younger costume designer. Natalie Tippett, the real inspiration behind the West End Girl tracks, previously admitted to an affair with the singer's now ex-husband after their marriage became open.
Making light of the 'Madeline' reference in her song, Lily posed with Trisha, who wore a blue, figure-hugging skater dress. Alongside the post, she wrote: 'Did we just find MADELINE in LA ?!' and tagged the YouTuber.
Glamorous Tour Life
Elsewhere in the post, Lily shared a glimpse of her glamorous preparation backstage on tour. She also posed in a striking yellow two-piece suit featuring a tailored blazer and a pencil skirt, accessorised with a black ruffled shirt, and her raven hair slicked back into a high ponytail.
Lavish Shopping Spree
Her post comes after she spent $50,000 cash on diamond jewellery during a shopping spree in Atlanta this month, following her revelation that she was seeking treatment for a spending addiction. The songstress visited Ice Box jewellers just hours before taking the stage. In a clip shared by the store on Instagram, Lily paid for her purchases with thick wads of cash carried in her $14,000 Hermès Birkin handbag.
While shielding her eyes behind $500 YSL shades, the hitmaker bought a $15,000 tennis bracelet, $25,000 earrings, and a mystery $20,000 gift for a friend. The salesman noted her total was $54,450 with taxes but accepted $50,000 as that was the amount she had in cash. They captioned the post: '@lilyallen spends $50,000 cash @icebox on diamonds before her Atlanta show, for the sold out “West End Girl” tour!'
Therapy for Spending Addiction
Lily's shopping trip comes several months after she revealed she was undergoing therapy for 'shopping like an insane person' to celebrate the success of her latest album. She has been spending freely, 'convinced she is a billionaire', but disclosed in December that she was receiving treatment for her spending addiction. The singer said she had been in eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy for four months due to her spending habits. According to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, EMDR helps people recover from past experiences affecting their mental health and wellbeing, using side-to-side eye movements combined with talk therapy to process negative images, emotions, beliefs, and body sensations associated with traumatic memories.
The smash hit record marked Lily's return to music after seven years and was recorded in just ten days, following her devastating split from ex-husband David Harbour in December 2024 after she allegedly discovered his cheating.
