Nicole Kidman had to be rushed to hospital while filming her latest TV series, her co-star Nick Offerman has revealed. The Australian actress, 58, stars in the new Apple+ series Margo's Got Money Troubles, alongside Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Nick Offerman.
Kidman's Health Scare on Set
In the series, Kidman plays a pro wrestler named Lace opposite Offerman's wrestling persona, Jinx – with the pair facing off in the ring at a wrestling convention. Speaking to People, Offerman revealed that on the day the duo were set to film their big scene, Kidman, who is also an executive producer on the show, almost didn't make it to set.
"The word comes in that Nicole has the flu, and we might not get Nicole today, and we're like: 'Oh no, that's such a bummer, because we only have the one day that we've built this whole circus for,'" he told the publication. He added that three hours after receiving the news, cast and crew were informed that Kidman was keen to push through her illness to film the scene.
"She was so pale, shaken," Offerman added. "She just had the flu really so bad." Ever the consummate professional, Nicole arrived on set like a "superhero" and filmed the scene. "She showed up and made sure that we got every shot of her, total superhero style, did everything we needed to so that we did not lose one scrap of what we needed for her character," Offerman said.
After Filming: Hospital Visit
However, Nicole's flu finally got the better of her, with Offerman adding that after filming, she was promptly rushed to hospital. "She was literally taken to hospital for an IV," he said. At the series' New York premiere, Kidman told People that she was initially scared about getting injured, until she first stepped into the ring. "Obviously, it's so hard, and I was so scared about getting injured, but then when I got in the ring, I just went, 'Okay, let's go,'" she said. "Because whenever I do something, I go: 'Okay, I've got to be really careful,' and then I just forget about any sort of protection in my body and I go crazy."
Premiere Appearance and Fan Reactions
Meanwhile, Nicole put on quite the flirty display when she arrived at the New York premiere of Margo's Got Money Troubles earlier this month. She wowed onlookers in a frilly black dress with a see-through skirt that showed off her toned legs and pert backside. The sexy Schiaparelli frock had white ruffled details down the front and sheer black long sleeves. Kidman chatted to fans who were waiting outside the premiere, leaning in to take a selfie with one person who had queued to meet her. On the red carpet, Kidman twirled for the cameras to showcase her sexy look from all angles as she posed up a storm.
Fans swooned over Kidman's look on social media, insisting she appeared more confident, polished, and unbothered since her divorce from Keith Urban. "Divorce suits her!" one online fan wrote of her post-split glow-up. "It appears she is happy without Keith," another commented, as someone else added: "Good on her, she needs to get on with her life." Yet another fan remarked: "Best I've seen Nicole look in years," as someone else agreed: "The best she has ever looked!"
Personal Life and Rumors
The former couple, who were married for nearly 20 years, share two daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15. Since splitting from Keith, Nicole has faced wild rumours that she is dating her longtime friend and Scarpetta co-star Simon Baker, 56. The pair sparked romance speculation at the New York premiere of Scarpetta last month, where they were seen holding hands and beaming together. At the event, Nicole admitted that their chemistry "just vibrates," while Simon cheekily added: "I don't kiss and tell."
