Legendary NFL coach Bill Belichick has once again taken on the role of supportive partner, attending an adult cheerleading competition in Atlanta to watch his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, perform.
A Weekend of Support in Atlanta
The 73-year-old, eight-time Super Bowl winner was photographed at the event this past Sunday, where the 24-year-old Hudson competed with her team, Code Black. Hudson was in full competitive uniform, while Belichick opted for casual attire of a button-down shirt and a navy baseball cap. The couple were seen posing together and appeared in good spirits throughout the evening before departing later.
This public display of support comes on the heels of Belichick's first season as head coach for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels, which concluded with a disappointing 4-8 record. The season saw the team miss a bowl game for the first time since 2018 and fail to qualify for the College Football Playoffs.
Reciprocation and Backlash
The Atlanta appearance signifies a role reversal for the couple. Hudson had been a visible presence supporting Belichick throughout the difficult football season, and he is now returning the favour during his offseason. However, their 18-month relationship, marked by a significant age gap, has drawn consistent criticism from a section of fans.
Some supporters have blamed Hudson's frequent presence for contributing to a lack of focus during the challenging 4-8 campaign. One fan notably commented online about Belichick being "too busy watching Jordan's dance competition." Hudson herself playfully addressed previous scrutiny on social media, joking about supporting Belichick at his "adult all-male football league competitions."
Post-Season Overhaul Begins at UNC
Not one to linger on disappointment, Belichick has swiftly begun a staff shakeup at North Carolina following the miserable season. He has already dismissed two key coordinators:
- Freddie Kitchens: Fired after just one season as offensive coordinator. The Tar Heels' offense ranked near the bottom nationally in 2025, sitting at No. 131 in total offense and scoring only 25 touchdowns.
- Mike Priefer: Relieved of his duties as special teams coordinator after being brought to the programme by Belichick earlier this year.
These moves force Belichick to immediately search for two new senior assistants as he prepares for his pivotal second season in charge, aiming to rebuild the Tar Heels' fortunes.
This weekend's cheerleading event was not the first of its kind for the couple; Belichick was also pictured at a similar competition last month, demonstrating his ongoing support for Hudson's athletic pursuits amidst the scrutiny of their high-profile relationship.
