Bergerac Season 2 Cast: Corrie Star and Night Manager Actor Join

Bergerac season 2 has returned with a host of new faces joining the acclaimed detective drama. The reboot of the iconic Jersey-based crime series, which boasts a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, launched its second series on Thursday 16 April.

Bergerac Season 2 Cast: A Star-Studded Line-Up

The programme follows troubled detective Jim Bergerac, played by Brassic star Damien Molony. The original series aired in the 1980s with John Nettles in the lead role, and the reboot premiered in 2025 with Damien, 42, taking over.

Returning for season two are Zoë Wanamaker as Charlie Hungerford (Bergerac's mother-in-law), Robert Gilbert as Barney Crozier, and Chloé Sweetlove as Kim Bergerac. However, the new season also welcomes several newcomers.

Adrian Edmondson as Nigel

Adrian Edmondson, 69, plays Nigel, a charming new presence in Charlie's life. The legendary comedy star is known for roles in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Absolutely Fabulous, Holby City, EastEnders, Bottom, and The Young Ones.

Charles Dale as DS Ian Monkford

Charles Dale, 63, joins as DS Ian Monkford. He is best known for playing Big Mac in Casualty (2007-2021), Dennis Stringer in Coronation Street (2000-2002), and more recently Leonard Gibson in Sherwood.

Lesley Sharp as Monica

Lesley Sharp, 66, plays Monica, mother to Michael (Turlough Convery) and Nicola (Camilla Beeput). She is famous for her role as Detective Constable Janet Scott in Scott & Bailey, and has also appeared in Red Eye, Before We Die, and The Full Monty.

Jonathan Aris as Ch. Supt. Richard Gibbon

Jonathan Aris, 55, joins as Chief Superintendent Richard Gibbon. He is known for playing Philip Anderson in Sherlock (2010-2016), Raymond Galt in The Night Manager, and roles in The End of the F***ing World, His Dark Materials, and Red Eye.

Turlough Convery as Michael

Turlough Convery, 35, plays Michael. His credits include Bear in Killing Eve (2020), Liam in My Mad Fat Diary (2014-2015), Tom Harry in Poldark (2016-2018), Arthur Parker in Sanditon (2019-2023), Lord Mooton in House of the Dragon (2024), and Dancer Blaine in Slow Horses (2024).

Camilla Beeput as Nicola

Camilla Beeput, 44, plays Nicola. She is known for Fame Academy, Footballers' Wives, Peep Show, Birds of a Feather, The Split, Save Me, Sick Note, The Suspect, and Dune: Prophecy.

Georgina Rich as Ruth

Georgina Rich, 49, plays Ruth. She is best known for playing Jane Spring in Heartstopper, Wilhelmina Fassbinder in Industry, and Rosa Fallows in River.

Bergerac is available to stream for free on U, and via U on Channel 4.
