Charles Fazzino: The 3D Pop Artist Capturing Super Bowl LX

Charles Fazzino, the official artist for Super Bowl LX, has built a career on vibrant, three-dimensional pop art that brings sports and pop culture to life. The 70-year-old artist, born in the Bronx and raised in Pelham Manor, New York, discovered his unique style after his father advised him to do something different to avoid a life of struggle.

Fazzino's technique involves layering cut prints and using silicone to create depth, a method he stumbled upon in 1982 when he brought pages from an unpublished pop-up book to an art show. While his flat works went unsold, the framed 3D pieces in Plexiglass boxes sold out on the first day. 'I knew from that minute on that I was on to a new form of art,' he said.

Now, Fazzino is the NFL's official artist for Super Bowl LX, which will be played at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on 8 February 2026. This marks his 26th season in the role. He has also served as official artist for Major League Baseball's All-Star Game for over 20 years, the Olympic Games, two Fifa World Cup tournaments, and the Grammy Awards.

His collectors include sports stars like Bernie Williams, Mariano Rivera, and the Manning brothers, as well as entertainment celebrities. His work is displayed at John F Kennedy International Airport and has been commissioned by the White House Historical Association and the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. Fazzino's art is sold in 35 countries and on 250 cruise ships worldwide.

Reflecting on his success, Fazzino said, 'It's super satisfying. People tell me it makes them feel good when they look at it.' He continues to create pieces that capture the excitement of major events, with his 3D style ensuring viewers 'feel the emotion.'
