"The league position is better than when we got here," Dyche stated. "When I got here, we were two points inside the relegation zone. So, that's the truth of it." He highlighted statistical improvements, noting the team had scored only one or two goals in the six games prior to his arrival but has since netted 13 times.
Dyche admitted the recent run needs addressing but remains focused on the long-term project. "I have to look at the reality, not the noise. I always remind the players, there's a truth in every story, and that's our truth," he added.

The significance of Forest's next fixture has been magnified by this result. They travel to face fellow strugglers West Ham United on Tuesday night, in a match that now carries huge weight for Dyche's future. The Hammers are managed by former Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo, adding an extra layer of narrative to the crucial encounter.
Meanwhile, Villa manager Unai Emery praised Ollie Watkins' return to scoring form, with the striker now having four goals in his last three games. "I was happy two months ago. I am happy now. For him it is much, much better," said Emery, who also celebrated his team's best home winning streak since 1990.
