Darts sensation Fallon Sherrock makes her highly anticipated return to the Alexandra Palace stage this Thursday, facing world number 21 Dave Chisnall in the first round of the PDC World Darts Championship.
The Queen of the Palace's Triumphant Return
Sherrock, revered as the 'Queen of the Palace' by fans in North London, will be hoping to recapture the magic of her historic 2019 run. That year, she shattered barriers by becoming the first woman to defeat a man on the Ally Pally stage, securing famous victories over Ted Evetts and Mensur Suljovic.
Since that breakthrough, the 31-year-old from Milton Keynes has cemented her legendary status. Her achievements include competing in the Premier League, hitting the first televised nine-dart finish by a woman, and clinching the inaugural Women's World Matchplay title in 2022. Her services to darts were recognised with an MBE in 2023.
Life Away from the Oche: Split and Health Struggles
Away from the spotlight, Sherrock has navigated significant personal challenges. It was confirmed earlier this year that her four-year relationship with fellow darts professional Cameron Menzies had ended.
The couple met during the pandemic through an online darts league, with their first date taking place at KFC. Speculation about a split arose last summer when Menzies was absent from the Women's World Matchplay in Blackpool, where Sherrock reached the final. The exact reasons for their separation remain private.
More pressingly, Sherrock has been managing a serious kidney condition that developed after the birth of her son, Rory, in 2014. She revealed to the Daily Star that her kidneys are functioning at just 23 per cent of their capacity.
"I have to maintain them at that level because if it went down to 15 per cent, you're looking at dialysis," she explained. Her rigorous health regimen includes daily calcium and sodium tablets, a weekly self-administered injection, and a blood transfusion approximately every six months to manage her iron levels. In June, she announced plans to take a break from darts in the new year to focus on her health.
Net Worth and Championship Prize Incentives
According to the Professional Darts Players Association, Sherrock has earned £240,644 in career prize money. This includes £14,600 from the 2025 PDC Women's Series, which secured her qualification for this year's World Championship.
However, her estimated net worth far exceeds this figure, surpassing £1 million thanks to lucrative sponsorship deals with brands like Diamond Draws Competitions and L-style Darts Accessories.
Her wealth is set for another boost at Ally Pally, regardless of her first-round result. All first-round losers are guaranteed a £15,000 cheque. A run to the third round would see her pocket £35,000, while any player achieving a nine-dart finish will earn a staggering £60,000 bonus.
As she steps up to the oche once more, Fallon Sherrock continues to be a figure of immense resilience, battling health issues while pursuing further glory on the sport's biggest stage.
