Odom was detained by police in the early hours of Saturday morning after officers reportedly observed a black SUV exceeding 100mph and changing lanes without signalling. According to initial police reports, the former basketball star exhibited bloodshot eyes, and his vehicle carried an overwhelming odour of marijuana. During questioning, Odom allegedly confessed to smoking marijuana earlier that day and made a reference to driving as if he were in the film 'Back To The Future'.
Failed Sobriety Tests and Bizarre Claims
TMZ reports indicate that Odom struggled significantly during field sobriety tests, failing six consecutive attempts to touch the tip of his nose. In a peculiar exchange with officers, when asked if he had suffered a traumatic brain injury, Odom reportedly laughed before claiming to have endured twelve strokes, six heart attacks, and being poisoned at a brothel in Pahrump, Nevada.
