Influencer Indy Clinton's 'Good Boss' Christmas Gifts & Demanding Assistant Role
Indy Clinton's Christmas staff gifts and assistant job demands

Social media influencer and entrepreneur Indy Clinton has showcased her approach to festive staff rewards, sharing the Christmas gifts she gives to her employees and jokingly explaining why it makes her a 'good boss'. The 28-year-old also recently advertised for a new executive assistant, outlining a remarkably demanding role that blends professional and personal duties.

Festive Bonuses and Tongue-in-Cheek Awards

On Tuesday night, Indy Clinton posted a photo to Instagram showing her wrapping Coles Myer gift cards intended as a Christmas bonus for her staff. She revealed in the caption that each employee received a card to spend at Kmart or Target. However, she made a special exception for one team member, known as 'Big Ed', who was given a card for Liquorland. "Except Big Ed got one to Liquorland. I'm a good boss," she quipped.

The influencer also held a humorous award ceremony at her annual Christmas party. One notable 'award' was the 'sore back, knee, shoulder, hammy, headache award', which was presented to 'Big Eddy', whom she described as the 'year round grinch'.

Transition to 'Corporate Girly' and Business Ventures

Clinton recently announced her shift into being a 'corporate girly' through her work with York St Brands, a beauty and skincare business. She holds an equity stake in the company and frequently promotes their haircare line, Bouf. Speaking to the Financial Review last year, she expressed her excitement about this new chapter: "I'm really excited to be part of the corporate world, and it's something that I never thought I would have the opportunity to be a part of."

The Search for a Multi-Tasking Executive Assistant

In October, Clinton began searching for a new full-time executive assistant, advertising the position on the job site Seek. The job description makes it clear that the successful applicant will have a vast array of responsibilities extending far beyond traditional EA duties.

The role requires supporting both her professional and personal life, which includes managing her three young children – Navy, 4, Bambi, 2, and Soul, 1 – whom she shares with husband Ben Azar. Key tasks listed include:

  • Content production, admin, and managing brand relationships.
  • Logistical organisation and scheduling for both work and family life.
  • Coordinating family activities, from extracurriculars to providing light childcare support during work events.
  • Travelling with Clinton interstate and overseas.
  • Assisting with filming and editing social media content.
  • Running personal errands like grocery shopping and parcel pickups.
  • Organising family events such as birthday parties.
  • Managing invoices, deadlines, and spreadsheets.

The advertisement calls for someone who is adaptable, takes initiative, and is confident. For this all-encompassing position, which demands availability for 38 hours per week and additional travel, Clinton is offering an hourly rate of between $35 and $50 (approximately £18 to £26).
