Pistons Fans Mock Carter with Angel Reese Chants

Detroit Pistons fans rubbed salt in the wounds of the Orlando Magic by targeting big man Wendell Carter Jr. for his relationship with WNBA star Angel Reese. The Pistons miraculously overcame a 3-1 series deficit, capping off their comeback with a 116-94 victory at home during Sunday's Game 7.

During the later stages of the game, Carter stepped to the free throw line to take some shots. As he was going through his process, hundreds of fans inside Little Caesars Arena began chanting 'Angel Reese' in Carter's direction. Carter and Reese have been romantically linked since last May, before Reese was shipped this offseason from the Chicago Sky to the Atlanta Dream.

To add insult to injury, Reese's ex, Jalen Duren, played a big role in eliminating Orlando. Reese was dating Pistons center Jalen Duren before she began seeing Carter. Reese has previously rubbed her new relationship in Duren's face; last month, she shared a highlight on her Instagram story of Carter dunking on the Pistons big man during a game. But Duren got the last laugh as Detroit put up a remarkable comeback to eliminate Orlando.

Duren finished the game with 15 points, 15 rebounds, and three assists in the 22-point beatdown. Carter managed 13 points and five rebounds of his own but had a defensive rating of -27 for the day. The Pistons will now play the Midwest rival Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round.
