Social media influencer and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Saffron Barker has placed her stunning dream home in East Sussex on the market with an asking price of £1.85 million. This represents a significant financial gain, as the 25-year-old purchased the property just five years ago for £975,000, meaning the listing price is almost double her original investment.
A Swift Change of Plans
Saffron Barker relocated to Dubai seven months ago with her boyfriend, Josh Miln, who grew up in the city. At the time, she indicated the move was not intended to be permanent. However, she has now decided to sell the countryside home she spent two years meticulously renovating to her exact specifications.
From Country House to Modern Marvel
The transformation of the property is dramatic. When Barker bought the home in 2021, it was a traditional five-bedroom, two-bathroom house with an old-fashioned country aesthetic. She immediately enlisted builders to completely gut the interior.
The result is a strikingly unique and modern open-plan residence. It now features two bedrooms, a dedicated dressing room, and four bathrooms. A standout centrepiece is a massive floating staircase with illuminated glass banisters, leading to a glass landing. The living room boasts a fire pit at its centre and is flooded with natural light from full-height windows.
Luxury Amenities and Outdoor Potential
The property is equipped with high-end amenities, including a private gym, a hidden cinema room complete with a tango ice blast machine and a built-in sound and vision system. A practical yet quirky addition is a bathroom featuring a laundry chute.
The garden offers ample space for al fresco dining, with a lawn sheltered by high hedgerows and mature trees for privacy. Barker had previously shared ambitious plans for the outdoor area in a video, mentioning ideas for a square fireplace, a swimming pool, a pizza bar area, and a shelter, noting it had "so much potential." She completed the renovations at the end of 2022 and later treated her 2.4 million YouTube followers to a detailed house tour.
Recent Travels and Career
Barker and Miln recently fled Dubai amid escalating conflict in the Middle East following Iranian drone attacks. They travelled to Australia for an extended holiday before returning to the United Kingdom. Barker is currently staying with family in Brighton and was recently spotted at the Olivier Awards, while Miln is visiting his family in Scotland.
In a vlog from June 2025, Barker explained her initial plan was to split time equally between Dubai and South England to remain close to her family and work. She expressed a deep connection to Brighton, stating, "There's a part of me that will always be in Brighton at home."
Saffron Barker rose to fame through her popular YouTube channel before gaining mainstream recognition on the 2019 series of Strictly Come Dancing, where she was partnered with AJ Pritchard.
