Disney Adult's 'Drinking Around the World' Epcot Bar Crawl Sparks Online Fury
Disney adult's boozy Epcot bar crawl sparks online fury

A so-called 'Disney adult' has ignited a fiery online debate after proudly documenting a boozy bar crawl through Walt Disney World's Epcot theme park in Florida. Content creator Sydney Lint shared a video of her alcohol-fuelled excursion, drawing both admiration and intense criticism from viewers.

The Global Bar Hop Through Epcot's World Showcase

In the now-viral clip, Sydney Lint embarked on the popular 'Drinking Around the World' challenge. Dressed in a bright pink mini-skirt and a knotted Disney princess t-shirt, accessorised with Mickey Mouse ears, she stopped at eight different pavilions within the park's World Showcase, each representing a different nation.

Her journey began in Canada with an 'Ottawa Apple' cocktail. She then moved to England for a lager, followed by France for mulled wine. As the sun set, she sipped a gin-laced mint tea in Morocco. The crawl continued with wine in Italy and a Japanese punch in Japan, where she cheerfully told the camera she was 'surviving'. After a beer in Germany and a final cocktail in China, she concluded her multi-continent outing with stops in Norway and Mexico.

'I feel like my tolerance is high,' Lint declared to the camera, holding up a pink drink. 'We're cooking.'

A Wave of Criticism and a Defence of Fun

While Lint appeared to enjoy her day, the video prompted a flood of negative comments. Many critics questioned the appropriateness of such an overtly adult-focused activity in a place often associated with family entertainment.

'Adults in Disney without kids will forever be cringe,' one user declared. Others attacked her choice of outfit, with one comment reading, 'Put your shirt down, you're not a little kid.' Another sniped, 'Why is her skirt tucked in on the left-hand side? She knows it is. It looks trashy.'

However, the content creator also found staunch defenders. Supporters argued that adults should be free to enjoy the park as they wish. 'Drinking around the world at Epcot is one of the best bar-hopping spots in the country,' one person commented. Another added, 'Everyone is allowed to have fun even if they don't have kids or can't have kids...'

The Scale of Epcot's Popularity

The controversy highlights the dual nature of modern theme parks, which cater to both children and adults. Epcot's World Showcase features 11 pavilions representing nations including Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, the USA, Japan, Morocco, France, the United Kingdom, and Canada.

According to data reports, the park's popularity is immense. Epcot welcomed approximately 12.1 million visitors in 2024, which equates to over 33,233 guests per day. This significant footfall ensures a wide variety of visitor expectations and experiences, often leading to clashing perspectives on what constitutes appropriate park behaviour.
