Reality television personality Holly Hagan has publicly shared poignant details from her teenage sister's funeral, posting an emotional tribute on social media following the devastating loss.
A Sister's Heartbreaking Farewell
The Geordie Shore star, aged 33, took to Instagram to reveal that the funeral for her 19-year-old sister Darci had taken place, sharing images of the order of service alongside photographs of the two sisters together.
Her deeply moving post described Darci as "My sister, my forever friend. His auntie, his greatest gift. Now our guardian angel." Holly continued with a heartfelt message to her late sister, writing: "I hope we did you proud today baby girl. We all miss and love you so much."
Community Support and Tragic Circumstances
Holly and her family were supported by fellow Geordie Shore cast members during the difficult occasion. Among them was Sophie Kasaei, who also shared the image of the funeral order of service on her own social media accounts.
Sophie wrote: "The most amazing send off for a beautiful girl who was loved by so many. I'm so proud of Holly and Vicky and John what they did today showed so much strength and courage. Rest in peace our angel."
The tragedy unfolded last month when Holly initially announced her younger sister's death, revealing that Darci had "passed away peacefully holding my hand surrounded by family & her best friends" after four traumatic days that she described as something "I hope no family ever has to go through."
Police Investigation and Family Requests
Greater Manchester Police later issued a statement confirming that on Sunday 19 October 2025, they were contacted by hospital staff regarding "a 19-year-old woman who had fallen seriously ill after it is believed she had taken drugs." The young woman sadly died in hospital the following evening on 20 October 2025.
The police statement concluded: "Our thoughts remain with her family at this difficult time. Enquiries are ongoing."
In her initial announcement, Holly had made a direct appeal to the press, requesting they "refrain from speculating and writing stories that could further traumatise my family," adding that while she chose her career in the public eye, her family members did not.
Just days before the funeral, Holly marked what would have been Darci's 20th birthday with another emotional social media post, writing: "Happy 20th birthday baby girl. I hope you're dancing up there singing Ella Eyre on karaoke. You had blossomed into such an incredible, beautiful young woman Darci."
She concluded with devastating honesty: "I'm so sorry this happened to you, I know you would want to be here celebrating too. We miss and love you more than you'll ever know."
