Two Charged with Murder After Amazon Break-Time Fight Turns Deadly in Texas
Amazon Warehouse Shooting: Two Men Charged with Murder

Two young men are facing first-degree murder charges after a pre-arranged altercation during a work break turned into a deadly shooting outside an Amazon fulfilment centre in Texas, authorities have confirmed.

The Fatal Confrontation

According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 10 p.m. on Sunday, 12 January 2026, in the car park of the Amazon Fulfilment Center located off U.S. Highway 90 West in Far West Bexar County. Deputies arriving at the scene discovered two individuals with gunshot wounds.

The victims were identified as Katrael Delosier and Johnny Bermea III. Both men were rushed to a nearby hospital. Tragically, Delosier succumbed to his injuries, while Bermea survived and was later listed in a stable condition.

From Argument to Homicide: The Chain of Events

An arrest affidavit obtained by local media reveals the shooting stemmed from an earlier argument between an Amazon employee and Johnny Bermea III. The pair, who reportedly had prior "issues" dating back to their school years, agreed to settle their dispute with a fight during a scheduled work break.

The employee told investigators that Bermea had claimed to have a "drake" in his vehicle—a term the employee understood to mean a firearm. This alleged threat prompted the employee to contact 21-year-old Jamari McKillion for backup, asking him to "pull up."

During the break, witnesses stated the employee led Bermea towards a vehicle occupied by his friends in the car park. A passenger then exited the vehicle and opened fire before fleeing. Investigators believe 20-year-old David Perez Morales Jr. was the passenger who fired the fatal shots that killed Delosier, while McKillion acted as the driver.

Evidence including surveillance footage, witness statements, and mobile phone location data was cited in the affidavit. McKillion was apprehended the following day at a separate Amazon warehouse in San Antonio, and his vehicle was seized.

Aftermath and Response

The loss has devastated the family of Katrael Delosier. His brother described him as a dedicated father to two young sons, a recent college graduate who trained as a mechanic, and a man in the process of buying a home for his family.

In response to the tragedy, Amazon has increased security at the fulfilment centre. In a statement, the company said it was "heartbroken by the tragic loss of a valued member of our team" and confirmed it is providing support to the family and counselling for employees while cooperating fully with law enforcement.

Both Jamari McKillion and David Perez Morales Jr. are being held in custody, each on a bond set at $300,000. It remains unclear whether the Amazon employee involved in the initial dispute will face any criminal charges.
