Barron Trump's Urgent Call to UK Police Saved Woman from Assault, Court Hears
Barron Trump's 911 Call Saved Woman from Attack, Court Told

In a dramatic testimony at Snaresbrook Crown Court in London, a woman has revealed how Barron Trump, the 19-year-old son of former US President Donald Trump, played a crucial role in saving her life during a violent assault. The court heard that Barron made an urgent call to UK authorities after witnessing the attack in real-time via a FaceTime video call.

Witnessing the Assault from Afar

The incident unfolded when Barron Trump received a brief, 15-second FaceTime call from the woman. During that short window, he reportedly heard distressing screams and saw her being physically struck by her ex-boyfriend, Matvei Rumiantsev. Recognising the severity of the situation, Barron immediately contacted emergency services, emphasising to the 911 operator that it was "really an emergency".

Police Response and Court Proceedings

Bodycam footage presented in court captured the swift response of officers arriving at the scene. The footage confirmed that someone from the United States, later identified as Barron Trump, had alerted them to the ongoing assault. The woman testified to jurors that Rumiantsev, aged 22, assaulted her in January, with the attack including acts of strangulation. She has since filed a formal complaint alleging two separate rapes by him.

Matvei Rumiantsev is currently facing multiple charges in connection with the incident. He has entered a plea of not guilty to all counts, which include:

  • Assault
  • Assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH)
  • Two counts of rape
  • Intentional strangulation
  • Perverting the course of justice

The case has drawn significant attention due to Barron Trump's involvement, highlighting how remote communication tools like FaceTime can unexpectedly place individuals in positions to intervene in critical situations. The woman credited Barron's quick thinking and decisive action with potentially saving her life, underscoring the importance of bystander intervention, even from across international borders.
