A murder investigation has been launched following a fatal shooting in Brixton that claimed the life of a 25-year-old man. The victim has been identified as Keanu Taylor, who was taken to hospital but succumbed to his injuries after the incident on Coldharbour Lane in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police Respond to Multiple Shots Fired
The Metropolitan Police reported that officers were called at 01:14 BST on Saturday, 2 May, following reports of multiple shots being fired on Coldharbour Lane, Brixton. Specialist crime officers arrived at the scene within four minutes and administered emergency first aid alongside the London Ambulance Service.
Keanu Taylor was rushed to hospital but later died. His next of kin are being supported by specialist officers.
Three Others Injured
In addition to the fatal shooting, three other individuals—aged 21, 47, and 70—were also taken to hospital. Their injuries have been assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing. No arrests have been made at this time, but detectives are working at pace to identify those responsible.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
