A prominent Hollywood fashion designer has fallen victim to a targeted mugging in London's exclusive Mayfair district, resulting in the theft of an ultra-rare Richard Mille watch valued at approximately £2 million.

Late-Night Robbery in Berkley Square

The incident occurred at 11.50pm on Thursday, January 29, when Catalin Botezatu, aged 59, was reportedly robbed. The location, Berkley Square in Mayfair, is an area known to be frequented by gangs who specifically hunt for high-value targets. Mr Botezatu is a respected figure in the fashion industry, having worked with iconic brands such as Vogue and Versace, and counts numerous A-list Hollywood celebrities among his clientele.

Suspect Charged and Remanded

Following the robbery, law enforcement moved swiftly. Younes Djoudim, a 33-year-old man from Slough in Berkshire, has been formally charged with theft in connection with the case. He appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Saturday, where he was remanded in custody pending further legal proceedings.
