Nottinghamshire Police have launched a public appeal following a serious incident in which multiple individuals were injured during a reported knife fight involving a masked gang outside an Asda supermarket. The violent altercation occurred on Priestsic Road in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, late on Friday evening.
Police Respond to Late-Night Violence
Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 11:57 PM after receiving emergency calls detailing a group of males, described as wearing face coverings, engaged in a physical confrontation. Upon arrival, authorities discovered that two victims had sustained injuries during the melee.
Details of the Injuries Sustained
A 17-year-old male suffered a slash wound to his arm, while a 24-year-old man incurred an injury to his elbow. Nottinghamshire Police have confirmed that, at this time, neither injury is believed to be life-threatening. The victims are currently receiving appropriate support from law enforcement and medical services.

A police cordon remains established at the location as detectives work diligently to piece together the full circumstances surrounding the event. Detective Sergeant Adam Penn of Nottinghamshire Police emphasized the seriousness with which the incident is being treated.
"We are treating this incident seriously and a team of detectives is working hard to locate those involved," stated DS Penn. "I would urge anyone who saw what happened or who may have any other information which could help us with our inquiries, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, to please come forward and to speak to us."

Authorities are particularly keen to obtain any dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage that may have captured the incident or the individuals involved. DS Penn sought to reassure the local community, noting, "We fully understand how concerning this will be within the community, however I want to reassure people that at this stage we are currently treating this as an isolated incident."
No further injuries have been reported in connection with the event. The investigation is active, with officers pursuing all leads to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
