Romanian Men and Teenagers Charged with Rape of Teen Girl in Kent
Romanians, British Boy Charged with Kent Teen Rape

Four Romanian men and teenagers, along with one British boy, have been charged in connection with the rape of a teenage girl in Kent. Kent Police confirmed that they received reports of a rape involving the girl on a private property on Salisbury Road in Gravesend between 25 March and 19 April.

Details of the Charges

Of those charged, four individuals, including the two men, are Romanian nationals. One of the 16-year-old suspects is British. Ionut Dobre, 33, of Cleanthus Road in Woolwich, was charged with rape on Friday 24 April. Two 16-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy, all from Gravesend, were also charged with rape. Benone Inofte, 46, of Salisbury Road, has been charged with aiding and abetting a rape.

Court Appearances

On Friday, they appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court. They will next appear at Woolwich Crown Court on 22 May. A statement released by Kent Police said both men remain in custody at this time, and the two boys have been remanded into youth custody. The third boy is currently in the care of the local authority.
