This followed a growing feud, initially sparked when his mother, Caroline, was hurt at not being invited to Holly's hen do. The situation escalated after Peaty's aunt, Louise, posted online about the family's distress, leading to the disinvitation.
The tension was further compounded by an incident where Peaty was escorted by police from Manchester airport over concerns about threatening messages. On the wedding day itself, his family were reportedly still attempting to contact him but found their numbers blocked.
