The event comes as Sanchez and Bezos have faced backlash due to their involvement as honorary co-chairs for fashion's biggest night, set to take place on Monday, May 4. The racy dress hugged every inch of Brooks' jaw-dropping figure, with sheer panels teasing a glimpse of her toned abs and ample assets. She accessorised with dazzling diamond jewellery and accentuated her gorgeous features with glamorous make-up.
Bezos and Sanchez sent out invites to A-list stars via email, which appeared to contain a disco-themed image, according to Variety. A location for the party was not given in the initial invite, but sources told Variety that the bash could possibly have taken place at the Amazon founder's NYC residence.
Met Gala Controversy
The billionaire couple are making their debut as honorary co-chairs and lead donors at the upcoming Met Gala. However, their involvement has been met with backlash. Posters have been put up around Manhattan ahead of fashion's biggest night, reading: 'Boycott The Bezos Met Gala.' Former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour previously defended the couple's involvement in the annual fundraiser. 'I think Lauren is going to be a wonderful asset to the museum and to the event,' she told CNN last November.
Brooks and Taron's Relationship
Brooks and Taron's possible matchmaker was none other than Sanchez, who introduced the pair at her star-studded wedding to Amazon billionaire Bezos in Venice last June. Bezos then set them up on a 'proper date' at the end of March. A source told the Mail On Sunday: 'Brooks has been wanting to meet a celebrity for a very long time. She wanted to be in a power couple.'
Candid snaps of the couple were taken over the course of three days. They went to the cinema to see America's No1 film, Project Hail Mary, on Friday night, followed by dinner at Giorgio Baldi, a celebrity restaurant in Santa Monica beloved of stars such as Al Pacino and Anthony Hopkins. Taron owns a house in the seaside suburb, believed to have been bought when the Kingsman movies took off.
Last month, the couple were spotted at Shutters On The Beach, a luxury five-star hotel overlooking the ocean where rooms start at £750 a night. A witness said: 'What was funny was they sat out on the balcony drinking cocktails. They were kissing and hugging and then a random fan came up to her to get a picture, and handed the camera to Taron to take the photograph. The person didn't know who he was, but she's all over social media so she was the one they wanted a picture of, even though he's far more famous and successful.'
A source added: 'She's been everywhere in her red swimsuit so it didn't surprise me that the person recognised her, not him. They came outside and kissed outside the hotel. It was a bit strange. You never see people acting like that. Either they were in their own world and genuinely didn't care or maybe they knew there was a photographer there.'
