Adam Peaty's Mum Vows 'Never Be Hurt Again' After Wedding Snub
Adam Peaty's mum 'soul screams' over wedding snub

The mother of Olympic champion Adam Peaty has spoken of her profound grief after being excluded from her son's wedding to television personality Holly Ramsay this weekend.

A Mother's Heartbreak

On Saturday, 27 December 2025, swimmer Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay were married at the historic Bath Abbey. The ceremony took place against a backdrop of a very public family rift, which resulted in most of Adam's closest relatives being dramatically uninvited. His sister, Bethany, was the sole family member present to offer support.

His mother, Caroline Peaty, 59, was more than 130 miles away in Staffordshire as her son exchanged vows. Speaking from the council house where Adam grew up, she told The Mail on Sunday: "I'm not going to be hurt like this again." On the eve of the wedding, she described the fallout as feeling like "they have cut my heart out."

Star-Studded Day Amidst Family Strife

Despite the absence of his family, the wedding proceeded with a celebrity guest list including David and Victoria Beckham and broadcaster Dan Walker. The bride and groom were declared man and wife and left the abbey around 1.30pm to the sound of bells, heading to their reception at Kin House, a Georgian manor near Chippenham.

Guests enjoyed a luxurious wedding banquet and a traditional cake served at 8pm. Meanwhile, Caroline was said to be 'beside herself' with grief, missing what she described as one of the happiest days of her life.

Roots of the Conflict and a Final Message

The tensions within the Peaty family reportedly began in September 2024, when Adam and Holly did not invite wider family to their engagement party. Caroline was also not included in Holly's hen do at Soho Farmhouse last month, an event attended by the bride's mother, Tana Ramsay, and Victoria Beckham.

Adam's aunt, Louise, confronted him about the feud this weekend. Moments before the wedding, she sent him a text message which read: "I hope you never suffer the depth of pain you have put your mother through... Remember on this, your happiest day... that you hurt your mum so deeply her soul screams."

In a poignant postscript, it was revealed that despite everything, Caroline still sent a card and gift to her son for his 31st birthday on the day of the report.
