Victoria Beckham has shared a startling behind-the-scenes clip revealing her son Cruz Beckham's bloodied hand after a gruesome accident. The incident occurred just days before the musician was set to film his new music video, forcing him to wear bandages and a sling on set.
Graphic Injury Details Emerge
The 20-year-old musician, who performs with his band Cruz Beckham And The Breakers, suffered the injury while preparing for the filming of his new single For Your Love in November. In a graphic photo shared by Victoria on her Instagram, Cruz showed off his bloodied hand after chopping off the end of his little finger.
Footage uploaded to Cruz's official YouTube channel provides further insight into the filming process, with Victoria showing her support by sharing the clip. A friend who was on filming duties narrated the video, stating: 'So the day before his music video, he decided to cut off the end of his pinky.'
Music Video Filming Continues Despite Injury
Cruz opened his phone during the video to show graphic footage of the accident, though it was blurred for viewers' discretion. The band proceeded with filming scenes inside Tony's Traditional Pie and Mash in Essex, where a signed jersey from Cruz's father David Beckham was prominently displayed.
The videographer explained: 'This is the iconic Tony's Pie and Mash and that's where we're filming the beginning of the music video for For Your Love.' Despite the injury, Cruz revealed last week that For Your Love would be released just in time for Valentine's Day on February 13th.
Promotional Campaign and Fan Engagement
Posters promoting the release were captioned: 'Cruz Beckham is coming on February 13th... are you? Cruz Beckham says call me if you're looking for some fun.' Cruz wrote on social media: 'For Your Love presave is now available! Starting tomorrow there are about 250 of these posters all over London. Scan the code to get a sneak peak. ;)'
He added: 'The first 15 people to send me a photo with the poster and presave done might also get a little extra surprise. I can't wait for this song to be yours.' This marks another step in Cruz's musical career, following his debut with two singles, Optics and Lick The Toad, and a series of small live shows with his band The Breakers.
Industry Recognition and Upcoming Tour
The Kooks' frontman Luke Pritchard, 40, has been unofficially guiding Cruz on his debut album, comparing it to The Beatles' iconic White Album. Pritchard told The Sun: 'He's brilliant. He's got all the right things. I think he's a rockstar, I really do. We were actually in the studio with him. His album sounds so good, so authentic. It's really refreshing.'
Pritchard continued: 'He's the real deal. He wants to do things properly and he wants to gather his fan base the right way and he wants to go out and just play. It's been a mad few days for him.' Later this month, Cruz and his band will kick off their UK tour before heading to Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin.
After announcing the tour, Victoria Beckham was among the first to publicly praise her son, gushing: 'So proud of you Cruz!!' The behind-the-scenes clip, while revealing a painful injury, highlights the dedication and support surrounding Cruz Beckham's burgeoning music career.
