DJ B Jones Diagnosed with Cancer in Heartbreaking Video

In a deeply moving Instagram video shared on Tuesday, one of Europe's most celebrated electronic music artists has revealed a personal health battle that has left her global fanbase reeling. B Jones, the internationally renowned DJ whose real name is Beatriz Martínez, disclosed that she has been diagnosed with cancer in what she described as the hardest video of her life.

A Heartbreaking Announcement from Hospital

The Spanish musician, who boasts an impressive 346,000 followers on the platform, recorded the emotional clip from her hospital bed. With visible emotion, Beatriz explained that although initial biopsy results suggested a benign tumour, further analysis confirmed she has lymphatic cancer.

'Hi everyone, I'm probably recording the hardest video of my life, but also the most inspiring,' she began, addressing her supporters directly. 'As you know, I had a biopsy, and although it initially looked like a benign tumour, it turns out I have cancer. It's lymphatic cancer, but I'm going to beat it 100 per cent.'

Facing Treatment with Determination

The 42-year-old artist, who has performed at legendary venues including Tomorrowland, Ushuaïa, and HÏ Ibiza, detailed her immediate medical journey. Following biopsy and neck surgery, she reported that her recovery is progressing well, though she faces challenging chemotherapy treatment ahead.

'Now, after the biopsy and surgery on my neck, I need to focus on recovering, and so far things are healing well. For now, I feel strong,' Beatriz shared. 'Next, I'll start chemotherapy, which looks like it's going to be tough, but you know I can handle it.'

Lymphoma, as medical experts confirm, is a cancer affecting the lymphatic system - a crucial component of the body's immune defence against infection and disease.

A Message of Hope and Resilience

Despite the devastating news, the accomplished musician struck a remarkably positive tone throughout her announcement. She framed her diagnosis as part of life's journey and expressed determination to face the illness with the best possible attitude.

'I want to face this illness with the best attitude possible – and for that, I need you,' she told her followers. 'In the end, this is part of life. Now it's my turn, but there are so many people going through this.'

Remarkably, Beatriz confirmed her intention to continue creating music throughout her treatment, expressing hope that fans would dance to her tracks until she can return to performing live.

A Trailblazing Career Paused

The diagnosis comes at the height of a groundbreaking career that has seen Beatriz Martínez make electronic music history. In 2022, she became the first Spanish artist ever to perform on Tomorrowland's prestigious main stage, cementing her status among dance music's elite.

Beyond her DJing accomplishments, Beatriz runs her own record label, Arryba Music, and maintains residencies at iconic Ibiza venues including Ushuaïa and HÏ Ibiza, where she has shared stages with industry giants like Kygo, Tiësto, and David Guetta.

Her health concerns first emerged earlier this year when she mentioned dealing with an unspecified illness. At the time, she revealed she had been managing health issues 'without knowing exactly what it was' towards the end of 2025.

As news of her diagnosis spreads through the music community, fans and fellow artists worldwide are rallying behind the Spanish star, whose resilience in the face of this personal challenge continues to inspire those following her journey.
