In a video posted for his gym, S10 Training, Franco explained the catalyst for his intense fitness journey. 'On July 14th I got the word I got this job,' he revealed. 'I knew from the script that my character appears in the very beginning of the movie and he is shirtless. I said ok, I'm taking it upon myself, I'd like to look as lean as possible for that scene.'
The actor, who had no prior experience with strength training, credited his trainers for guiding him through the process. 'Stephen really did take care of me, it was super dope,' Franco said, before praising his trainer as 'the guy behind almost every physique in Hollywood.'
