From Timothée Chalamet to Connor Storrie: A Fan's New Obsession
The creator behind the notorious Timothée Chalamet fan community, Club Chalamet, appears to have discovered a fresh celebrity fascination. Simone Cromer, aged 59, who established Club Chalamet back in 2018, has now redirected her enthusiastic attention toward breakout star Connor Storrie from the popular series Heated Rivalry.
Launching Storrie Times on Instagram
This Tuesday, the Michigan-born film enthusiast declared her intention to initiate a brand-new fanpage on Instagram, wholly devoted to the 25-year-old actor. Named Storrie Times, this account will predominantly concentrate on Storrie's career and public appearances, though it will also intermittently feature content regarding his Heated Rivalry co-star, Hudson Williams.
In a statement shared via X, Cromer explained that her motivation for starting the page stemmed from growing weary of what she described as the problematic online discourse surrounding the steamy gay hockey drama, which has evolved into a significant pop culture phenomenon.
I have become repulsed from the immature discourse surrounding Heated Rivalry and the lead actors and supporting actors, she wrote. Haters invited me to create Storrie Times, which will focus on #ConnorStorrie but will also include cool Hudson info.
Technical Hurdles and Fanpage Challenges
In a subsequent post, Cromer detailed the difficulties she encountered while attempting to get the page operational. It looks like Instagram is being difficult, she noted. I think there are too many new accounts opening up related to Heated Rivalry and the boys. I may recreate another one later this week, but not use Connor's image. I saw another acct experience the same challenges. Hold tight.
This development follows a period where Chalamet has been increasingly public about his relationship with girlfriend Kylie Jenner, whom Cromer has openly criticised in recent years. Cromer currently maintains a policy of not posting about Jenner on Club Chalamet, even when sharing photographs from events that the Kardashians star has attended alongside the actor.
Background and Previous Controversies
In 2023, Cromer faced significant backlash after referring to Jenner as Slurpee online, subsequently pledging to refrain from commenting on Chalamet's romantic life. Chalamet, now 30, has become more vocal about his relationship with the 28-year-old Kylie Cosmetics founder in recent months, including during his acceptance speech at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards.
Nearly a decade ago, Cromer relocated to Los Angeles from Michigan, where she graduated from the University of Michigan in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in psychology, to pursue her passion for celebrities and the entertainment industry. Over the years, she has held various jobs, mainly within healthcare, while dedicating much of her leisure time to volunteering at film festivals.
The Origins of Club Chalamet
Cromer first became an admirer of Chalamet's work in 2017 after viewing his performance in Luca Guadagnino's Call Me By Your Name. That December, she shared her inaugural post about Chalamet on her personal Instagram account, revealing she had set the star as her desktop background.
She launched the Club Chalamet blog in spring 2018 to connect with fellow Gen X fans of the actor, feeling alienated by the younger fans. Cromer organises an annual fundraiser for Chalamet's birthday, raising thousands of dollars for Odyssey House, a non-profit providing treatment for drug and alcohol addiction, inspired by Chalamet's role in 2018's Beautiful Boy.
Current Recognition and Oscar Buzz
Her steadfast dedication to the Hollywood A-lister has elevated Cromer to a minor celebrity status in her own right. Beyond accumulating thousands of followers online, the cinephile has been profiled in the Wall Street Journal and featured in publications such as Grazia and Vulture.
Meanwhile, Chalamet is presently considered a frontrunner to win at this year's Oscars for his role in the sports biopic Marty Supreme. The film has garnered glowing reviews from critics and has already secured Chalamet Best Actor awards at the Golden Globes and the Critics' Choice Awards. It has also just received nine nominations at the Oscars, including a Best Actor nomination for Chalamet.
Cromer congratulated Chalamet for the nominations on Thursday via Club Chalamet. It goes without saying that I am so proud of what Timothée has accomplished in being nominated for an Oscar for his performance in Marty Supreme, but he also made history in being the youngest back-to-back Best Actor nominee, a double nominee in Actor and Best Picture, and the youngest Actor to receive three Best Actor nominations by the age of 30, she wrote. I have long believed in the skills and talent of Timothée Chalamet, and that's why I am so earnest in how I root for him and support him with unwavering dedication. Congratulations to Timothée, this is your year to win your first Academy Award!
