Jack Fincham Shares Post-Rehab Update: Starting From Zero

Jack Fincham Opens Up After Completing Rehab Stay

Former Love Island champion Jack Fincham has provided a candid update on his life following the completion of a two-month rehabilitation programme. The 34-year-old reality star, who won the 2018 edition of the ITV show with Dani Dyer, entered the facility at Rainford Hall in Merseyside back in January to address struggles with alcohol and drug addiction.

Life After Treatment: A Fresh Start

In a series of Instagram videos shared this week, Fincham disclosed that he is currently residing in a hotel as he navigates his post-rehab journey. He expressed feelings of disappointment over a lack of support from some close to him, stating, "I thought I’d be getting more support from people close to me that haven’t shown that support." He added, "Listen, I’m a 34-year-old man, you can’t rely on your family all the time."

Reflecting on advice received during treatment, Fincham noted, "One thing they told me in rehab, and it’s true, you’re not gonna walk out of rehab to a red carpet rolled out for you because it’s stuff you should have been doing anyway." He emphasised his determination to reset his life, saying he is "just going to reset and work out what to do and where I wanna live."

Past Struggles and Legal Issues

Fincham's journey has been marked by significant challenges. Last year, he faced legal repercussions after his dog bit a runner in Kent during a 2022 incident. Initially sentenced to six weeks in jail for dangerous dog offences, he successfully appealed and was released after paying a fine.

His addiction battles have also been public. In January, he announced a return to rehab following a relapse, revealing on Good Morning Britain that he initially underestimated his issues. "I’ll be honest, I didn’t really think I had a problem. I didn’t feel I had an issue. So, I only went for two weeks and I was adamant I’m going home, I don’t need this, I’m fine. When, actually, this has been a part of my personality ever since my adult life, really," he confessed.

Gratitude and Optimism for the Future

Despite the hurdles, Fincham remains hopeful. He expressed gratitude towards the rehab staff, mentioning he "wasn’t used to" their "kindness." In a heartfelt message, he stated, "There’s been a few struggles along the way, and look, I’m starting again from zero. I’m a very optimistic person, and I just think it can’t get any worse than this."
