Jeff Brazier shared a heartwarming photograph with his granddaughter on Tuesday, expressing his profound affection in a new Instagram post. The 46-year-old television presenter enjoyed quality time with Isla Jade following the birth of his son Freddy's first child with his on-off girlfriend, Holly Swinburn.
In the snapshot, the pair are seen snuggling, with Jeff captioning it: 'I don't know that I could love her more. A weekend to celebrate our special girl and her Mum and Dad who are doing a great job. She's perfect.'
Family Dynamics
Freddy, 21, who is the son of the late Big Brother star Jade Goody and Jeff, welcomed his daughter in March after rekindling his relationship with Holly, 22, just before the birth. However, earlier this month, it was reported that Freddy had moved out of the couple's home and travelled to Gran Canaria after a disagreement arose when Holly allegedly refused to allow his grandmother, Jackiey Budden, to meet their daughter.
According to reports, Freddy was seen arriving at Jackiey's flat with a bag, and it is believed the couple separated for a second time only weeks after their baby's arrival. A source told The Sun: 'It's a bitter blow for Holly after their row and shows he's doubled down. They have unfollowed each other on Instagram and Holly is especially furious he has left her and their baby so soon after the birth. It's not how she imagined her first weeks of motherhood would be.'
Ongoing Tensions
Holly is said to have concerns about Jackiey's lifestyle, believing she has been a negative influence on Freddy. The source added: 'He has packed his bags and disappeared without telling Holly where he is. Holly loves Isla Jade and is taking motherhood really seriously, but Freddy is not the same - despite all the 'happy family' pictures they posted together on social media.'
Freddy previously claimed in a TikTok video that he had realised his grandmother had been lying to him. However, by December, he appeared to have reconciled with her just in time for Christmas. The family's history has been fraught with conflict; last year, Jeff sought a court order to prevent Jackiey from having contact with Freddy, fearing her negative influence. Since Jade Goody's death, Jeff has raised Freddy and his older brother Bobby. Jackiey, 68, helped raise the boys but has clashed repeatedly with Jeff.
Earlier this year, Jeff considered legal action to block contact between his son and grandmother 'to keep him safe.' Yet, the pair seem to have mended their relationship, with Jeff publicly wishing Freddy a happy birthday in September, stating he would always be there for him. In a preview for his podcast, Freddy admitted to a troubled past, including smoking since age 12, rehab, and being sectioned, describing it as 'a tough journey.'
