Jenelle Evans Denies Reconciliation Rumours with Ex-Husband David Eason
Reality television personality Jenelle Evans has publicly addressed swirling speculation about a potential romantic reconciliation with her former spouse, David Eason. This clarification comes less than twelve months after she famously celebrated their divorce with a piñata fashioned in his likeness at a New York strip club establishment.
Co-Parenting Takes Priority Over Romance
During a recent appearance on the La Femme Talk podcast, the thirty-four-year-old MTV alum firmly stated her current focus is solely on co-parenting her children. Photographs surfaced over the weekend showing Evans and Eason together in Las Vegas with their offspring, which ignited widespread conjecture about their relationship status.
"I think now back to co-parenting, that's the most important thing for right now," Evans explained during the podcast interview. "In my past, it was a lot that they witnessed and saw, and we're all trying to move past that, and we're all trying to create new memories."
She elaborated that her primary objective is to foster a civil and harmonious environment for all her children, which includes maintaining a friendly rapport with her ex-partners for their benefit.
Addressing the Las Vegas Photographs and Online Speculation
Evans directly responded to the rumours fuelled by the TMZ-published images from Las Vegas. Taking to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, she posted a clear rebuttal: "Just because I am co-parenting, doesn’t mean I’m in trouble in any way. Sorry to burst your bubble everyone."
The former reality star shares three children: sixteen-year-old son Jace Vaughn with ex Andrew Lewis, ten-year-old son Kaiser Orion with ex Nathan Griffin, and daughter Ensley Jolie Eason, seven, with David Eason.
Update on Son Jace's Mental Health Treatment
In a revealing segment of the podcast conversation, Evans provided an update on her eldest son, Jace. The teenager is currently receiving treatment at a mental health facility following a distressing incident on February 22nd, where he was accused of brandishing a firearm toward his grandmother, Barbara Evans.
"He's in a safe place, and a holistic approach," Evans shared, noting she had been working quietly behind the scenes to secure help. "He's very happy right now, and he's very focused on himself. And I think that's the most important thing."
A Tumultuous Past and a Notorious Divorce Celebration
Evans and Eason's relationship has been fraught with controversy. They separated in 2024 after six years of marriage, with Evans citing Eason's erratic behaviour, alleged substance abuse, and unemployment in her filing. The divorce was finalised a year later.
The most infamous chapter involved Eason shooting and killing the couple's French bulldog, Nugget, in 2019—an act that led to his firing from MTV over homophobic and transphobic tweets and subsequently resulted in Evans' dismissal from Teen Mom 2 after nine seasons.
Initially, Evans reported the shooting to authorities but later recanted, causing the investigation to close. Eason later admitted to the killing, claiming the dog had bitten their young daughter. Following the finalisation of their divorce, Evans marked the occasion with a raucous party at the Spearmint Rhino strip club, featuring the aforementioned piñata, and told TMZ she felt "great, less anxious and totally free."
Jenelle Evans first entered the public eye in 2010 on the second season of MTV's 16 and Pregnant. Her current public statements underscore a concerted effort to prioritise family stability and her children's wellbeing above the drama that has long characterised her personal narrative.
