Hollywood icon Kate Jackson had to see a doctor after a nasty spill on the ski slopes recently. The Charlie's Angels star said she tumbled when taking on an Olympic practice ski run in Colorado.
The 77-year-old actress told People that she is now in physical therapy to deal with the painful back injury. The star said she was 'doing pretty well' on the slopes before she took a risk, causing the crash to take place.
'I thought, "Let's see if I can push and go a little faster,"' Jackson shared with the outlet. 'I took the most spectacular fall. I torqued my back something awful, but I'm perfectly fine.'
'I came down the thing and took a fall that every time you see it, you go, "Ouch,"' she added. 'My face was down in the snow, and I looked up and turned around and said, "Did somebody get that, I hope?"'
Therapy is helping her get back to normal. 'I'm a little sore, but I'm doing physical therapy, I'm stretching,' she explained. 'I didn't break anything, I'm just a little too old to be doing that. In my head I'm still 25. I think maybe I'm going to snowshoe now.'
The TV star now lives in Virginia after calling Los Angeles home for decades. 'I love being in Virginia, and I really enjoy the farm,' she revealed. 'I've got chickens, a couple of horses. Most of it's woods, but it's 128 acres and it's beautiful and it's quiet and peaceful. It's a good place for me, and I love being in the mountains.'
In early April she reunited with her Charlie's Angels costars Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd at the detective show's 50th anniversary celebration at PaleyFest in Los Angeles. And she has stayed in town to look for some work opportunities.
'I'm in California now and going to see what happens and if there are things to do, if there's work to be had, acting or directing,' she said. 'Directing was really fun. I'm pretty darn good at it.'
And she wisely kept her SAG and DGA cards after a long break. 'I guess somewhere in the back of my head, I always knew one day I was going to say, "I think I'd like to do that again,"' she admitted. 'Creative people need to be creative.'
