Kerry Katona Confesses to Nerves as Spain Relocation Plans Take Shape

In an exclusive revelation, Kerry Katona has candidly admitted to feeling a wave of nervousness as she and her partner, businessman Paolo Margaglione, prepare for a significant life change: moving their blended family to Spain later this year. The entertainer shared these intimate details in her latest column for new! magazine, marking a pivotal moment in the couple's journey together.

Plans for a Sunny New Chapter in Spain

Kerry and Paolo first hinted at their desire to leave the UK during a joint interview with OK! magazine earlier this year. Paolo expressed their shared aspiration, stating, "Hopefully somewhere hot and sunny. The idea is, at some point, to potentially move away from the UK. It’s something I wanted to do and something Kerry’s wanted, too." While the destination was initially undecided, Kerry later confirmed that Spain had become their chosen new home, seeing the closure of her daughter DJ's school as a "sign" to embark on this fresh start.

In her recent column, Kerry elaborated on the timeline, revealing, "Paolo and I have decided we’re moving to Spain in September and we’ve started looking at places. It’s really exciting but I’m also nervous." This admission highlights the emotional complexity of uprooting their lives for a sun-drenched future abroad.

Children's Mixed Reactions to the Family Move

The move has elicited varied responses from Kerry's children, adding another layer to her apprehensions. She disclosed, "I’ve told the kids and they’ve had mixed feelings. Heidi isn't happy, but our Molly said, ‘Good for you Queen, you do you’." Kerry emphasized that while her younger daughter DJ will accompany them, the older children have the option to join if they wish. She reflected on the challenges of balancing everyone's happiness, noting, "It's a lot trying to juggle and make sure everyone’s happy but if I’m working I’m never in the house and if I am at home I sit there by myself, so why not sit in the sun."

Upcoming Celebrations and Family Dynamics

Amidst the relocation plans, Kerry is also organizing a trip to Spain next month to celebrate birthdays. She explained, "Next month we’re travelling back to Spain on our DJ’s birthday, as she turns 12 in April 4. It’ll be me, Paolo, DJ, Milani and Nola for a few days before Paolo flies back with the children and I’m going to stay out in Spain. Paolo’s then going to fly back with our Max and his girlfriend Pearl as it’s Max’s 18th on April 11, so we’re going to celebrate his birthday too so we’ve got a busy month ahead of us!" This busy schedule underscores the couple's commitment to blending their families, which includes Kerry's children Molly, Lilly-Sue, Heidi, Max, and Dylan-Jorge, and Paolo's daughters Milani and Nola.

Relationship Milestones and Future Prospects

Kerry and Paolo, who met on the show Celebs Go Dating last year and quickly fell in love, have previously discussed marriage plans. In an exclusive interview with OK! magazine, Kerry affirmed, "We will 100 per cent get married," though both stressed they are in no rush. Paolo added, "I’m not just doing it for the sake of doing it. We’re trying to build something really special together, so I want it to be the right moment." This measured approach to their relationship further illustrates their focus on creating a stable foundation for their family's new life in Spain.
