Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $100k-a-month divorce settlement revealed
Kidman & Urban's $100k monthly divorce details exposed

Court filings in Nashville have made public the financial particulars of the divorce between Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman and country music star Keith Urban, bringing their 19-year union to a formal close.

High-Earning Split With No Spousal Support

The legal documents, lodged in Tennessee, disclose that both the Oscar-winning actress and the Grammy-winning singer, each aged 58, report staggering individual monthly incomes exceeding US $100,000 (approximately AU $148,000). Despite their substantial earnings, the settlement reveals a notably amicable and independent financial severance.

In a key provision, both parties have mutually agreed to waive all claims to alimony and spousal support. Each will also be responsible for covering their own legal fees incurred during the proceedings.

Unusual Child Support Arrangement and Custody Terms

In a move that may surprise many, the former couple has agreed to a zero child support arrangement for their two teenage daughters, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 15. This decision is likely predicated on both parents' considerable independent wealth.

The custody agreement stipulates that Kidman will have primary care of the children for 306 days of the year. Keith Urban's parenting time is set at 59 days annually, described in the documents as 'every other weekend'.

An Amicable Division of Assets

The pair, who married in 2006 and announced their separation in late September, have agreed to divide their shared property privately. This includes investments, bank accounts, furniture, appliances, vehicles, and personal belongings, with each retaining what they already personally own. It remains unclear whether a prenuptial agreement was in place.

The legal process appears to have been conducted without acrimony. The decree explicitly notes that both sides wished to avoid formal discovery processes like interrogatories or depositions designed to uncover assets and debts, indicating they worked cooperatively with their attorneys.

The finalisation of the divorce comes three months after Kidman initiated proceedings on September 30. A recent hearing in Nashville proceeded without Kidman, who was returning from spending the New Year in her native Australia—her first visit home since the breakup. She was photographed at Sydney Airport with her daughters, marking a family holiday without Urban.

The settlement follows reports of Urban grappling with the reality of the split, with sources suggesting he feels isolated and is contending with the financial pressures of divorce and providing for his daughters' private education.
