Kristen Stewart's Sheer Skirt Sparks Attention in NYC, Opens Up on Marriage
Kristen Stewart's Sheer Skirt & Marriage Insights

Actress Kristen Stewart made a bold fashion statement in New York City this week, stepping out in a revealing sheer skirt that showcased her black underwear. The 35-year-old star was spotted on Monday arriving at NBC Studios, where her daring choice of attire left little to the imagination.

A Daring NYC Outfit

The Twilight icon paired the transparent garment with a simple white crop top and chunky black ankle boots. She styled her brunette hair in a chic updo for the outing, which saw her accompanied by a security guard. This public appearance comes shortly after Stewart offered a rare glimpse into her personal life, specifically her marriage to screenwriter Dylan Meyer.

Marriage and 'Power in Numbers'

In a candid interview with Esquire on December 9, Stewart reflected on the lessons learned since tying the knot nearly eight months ago. The Oscar-nominated actress revealed that the biggest takeaway has been the "power in numbers." She expressed profound appreciation for the family unit she has built with Meyer, the 38-year-old daughter of Oscar-nominated screenwriter Nicholas Meyer.

"It's so nice to have a family. It's so nice to not be an unmoored individual," Stewart confessed. She praised her wife's discerning nature, stating, "Dylan came into my life and I immediately was like, 'It's so important to handpick and curate the people that surround you.' Dylan just does not suffer fools."

Simple Joys and Creative Ventures

Surprisingly, one of Stewart's greatest sources of happiness is a quiet domestic ritual: reading classic literature aloud with Meyer and their pets at their $2.195 million Los Feliz home. She listed favourites like East of Eden and Wuthering Heights, calling the act of sharing stories "salve." Despite cherishing this togetherness, the self-described Aries still values her solitary time, often stealing an hour or two alone before her wife wakes.

The couple, who first met on the set of American Ultra in 2013, have also become professional partners. In 2023, they co-founded the production company Nevermind Pictures with Maggie Mclean. Stewart's focus is currently on her feature directorial debut, The Chronology of Water, an adaptation of Lidia Yuknavitch's memoir.

The film, starring Imogen Poots, Thora Birch, and Tom Sturridge, is set for release in US theatres on January 9. It has already garnered critical acclaim, boasting a 'certified fresh' 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from 46 reviews. This project marks a significant new chapter for the former child star, balancing her provocative public persona with a deeply personal creative vision and married life.
