Reality TV Couple Exits Podcast, Passes Baton to Love Island Stars
Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo, the beloved former Made In Chelsea stars, have announced their departure from their highly successful podcast series. The couple, who built a loyal following by documenting their journey from engagement to parenthood, are now handing over the microphone to Tom Clare and Molly Smith, winners of Love Island: All Stars.
From NearlyWeds to NewlyWeds and Beyond
Laing, 37, and Habboo, 31, first captured public attention on the E4 reality show Made In Chelsea, where their romance blossomed on screen. After leaving the series in 2021, they launched the NearlyWeds Podcast, chronicling their wedding preparations. Following their marriage in 2023, the show rebranded as NewlyWeds, offering insights into their early married life. In 2025, it evolved again into NearlyParents as they anticipated the birth of their son, Ziggy, who arrived in December of that year.
A Strategic Handover to Love Island Favorites
The podcast, owned by Laing and Habboo's company JamPot Productions, will revert to its original title, NearlyWeds, under the stewardship of Clare, 26, and Smith, 31. The Love Island couple met during the first season of Love Island: All Stars in 2024 and became engaged in September 2025. Fans can now expect the new hosts to share the trials and excitement of their own wedding planning journey.
A source close to the situation revealed, "Jamie and Sophie have amassed thousands of fans who have followed their journey from getting engaged to becoming parents. However, they want to focus on parenting, Ziggy, and other work opportunities such as presenting and hosting red carpets. Tom and Molly are the perfect couple to follow in their footsteps – after they also met on a reality show." The source also noted that Laing and Habboo will retain the rights to the podcast, highlighting their business acumen.
Tom and Molly's Wedding Plans Unveiled
Clare and Smith have already begun sharing details of their upcoming nuptials. In a recent interview, Smith hinted that 2026 will be her last Valentine's Day as a Miss, suggesting the wedding will occur this year. Clare disclosed that fellow Love Island star Casey O'Gorman, 29, will serve as his best man, with O'Gorman reportedly preparing a PowerPoint presentation for his speech.
The couple has also teased that comedian Iain Stirling might officiate the ceremony, and Smith expressed her desire to include several Love Island co-stars as bridesmaids. "I’d love the Love Island girls as my bridesmaids. They’ll definitely be involved in the wedding and the hen dos," she said, while acknowledging the challenge of balancing friends and family in the wedding party.
Representatives for Laing, Habboo, Clare, and Smith have been contacted for further comment on this transition, which marks a significant shift in the podcasting landscape for reality TV enthusiasts.
