During an interview with British Vogue for their December issue, Brown emphasized her commitment to shielding her child's identity until she is old enough to make her own decisions. 'For me, it's really important to protect her and her story until she's old enough to potentially one day share it herself,' she explained. 'It's our job to protect her from that.'

During an appearance on the Smartless podcast hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett, Brown reflected on her long-standing desire for motherhood. 'My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And you know, it's been my thing since before I met Jake,' she explained. 'Since I was a baby... I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.'
The actress continued: 'Jake knows how important it is to me and, of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it's so important to start a family for me personally.' She added that she sees no distinction between having biological children and adopting, stating: 'My home is full of love for anyone and anything, and so that is what we kind of stand by, Jake and I, our energy in the house is 'the door is always open', and we want everyone to feel really comfortable.'
