Olivia Attwood's Mother-in-Law Comments Emerge Hours Before Split Announcement

Reality television star Olivia Attwood appeared to take a swipe at her mother-in-law during a podcast recording mere hours before news broke of her separation from footballer husband Bradley Dack. The former Love Island contestant and Dack had been married for two years before their split became public knowledge on Saturday.

Podcast Remarks Spark Speculation

During an episode of her podcast recorded with close friend Pete Wicks, Attwood discussed how weddings can fundamentally alter the behaviour of mothers. "My sister and I have been married, I need to be careful, weddings do something to mothers," Attwood remarked. "There's a chemical change in their brain that happens when their son or daughter gets married."

The conversation occurred while analysing Brooklyn Beckham's ongoing family tensions, particularly his claim that his mother Victoria Beckham "hijacked" his first dance with wife Nicola Peltz. Attwood suggested the incident was not accidental, commenting cynically on family power dynamics during wedding celebrations.

Timing Coincides With Marriage Breakdown

These comments emerged just before confirmation that Attwood and Dack had decided to end their marriage. Sources indicate the split resulted from a "breach of trust" on Dack's part, which reportedly came as a complete shock to Attwood. Despite previous challenges in their relationship, including distance, demanding careers, and past betrayals, this particular incident proved insurmountable.

An insider revealed: "They have always managed to overcome any problems between them, including distance, their busy careers, and, in the past, betrayals from Bradley's side. But after meeting over a decade ago, Bradley's recent breach of trust has led them to end their marriage."

No Reconciliation Expected

Contrary to speculation that this separation might follow the pattern of their earlier on-again, off-again relationship, sources confirm this breakup is permanent. "Olivia knows now is the time to move on for good, and while it's heartbreaking for her, she believes it's the only way to end their marriage on the best terms possible," the source added.

Neither Attwood nor Dack is expected to publicly address the specific reasons for their separation, though those close to the couple reportedly understand the circumstances fully. This development follows Attwood's previous admissions about marital difficulties, where she acknowledged both parties had made mistakes during their relationship.
