Grammy-nominated rapper and singer Post Malone has become the latest victim of an unfortunate live-streaming mishap, suffering an embarrassing fall during a marathon gaming session.
The Ill-Fated Stunt
The incident occurred on Monday, 30 December 2025, during a 10-hour Twitch livestream hosted alongside popular streamer xQc. The event was organised to promote Post Malone's Murder Circus Encore event within the video game Hunt: Showdown 1896. After consuming Bud Light beer during the broadcast, the 30-year-old musician decided to attempt a daring, if ill-advised, stunt.
Addressing his viewers, the I Had Some Help artist declared, "Alright, here it comes y'all. This is just an attempt." He then proceeded to try a backflip from his office chair. The move was unsuccessful from the outset; before he could fully upright himself, he slipped and fell backwards onto the floor in a clumsy heap.
Reaction and Recovery
Fellow streamer xQc could only watch in stunned silence, eventually holding his head and remarking, "That was more like a cork." Remarkably, Post Malone managed to keep hold of his cigarette throughout the entire tumble. He quickly began laughing at his own blunder before stumbling off-camera, audibly in pain.
"It was alright. I actually hurt my wrist. My f***ing chair rotated. F***! Owww!" he was heard saying after the fall. Despite the awkward moment, the rapper swiftly returned to the stream's main purpose, revealing ambitious plans for his music career. He told viewers he aims to release two albums in 2026 "if everything goes correctly".
New Music on the Horizon
Fans won't have to wait long for a taste of fresh material. Post Malone is scheduled to headline the free Bud Light Super Bowl concert on 6 February at Fort Mason in San Francisco, where new tracks are expected to debut. In a recent interview with Billboard, the star confirmed active work on new music, stating, "We've been working very, very diligently... And we have 45 songs."
He added with his characteristic humour, "Allegedly a hundred percent maybe, definitely. Keep your ears [open]!" This on-stream stumble comes just three weeks after another fall at a concert in India, where viral footage showed him tripping on a small staircase while holding a red cup.
Since his breakthrough with the viral 2015 hit White Iverson, Post Malone has secured a formidable career, earning numerous awards including five American Music Awards and 11 Billboard Music Awards, alongside 18 Grammy nominations.
