Scarlett Moffatt Devastated to Miss I'm A Celebrity Final, Wanted Girl Power
Scarlett Moffatt Devastated to Miss I'm A Celebrity Final

Scarlett Moffatt was left in tears after narrowly missing out on a place in the I'm A Celebrity final, expressing her disappointment at an all-male final lineup for the first time in over two decades. The 35-year-old former Gogglebox star came last in the 'Keep your eye on the ball' challenge, which saw her leave the camp on Friday night, setting up a historic all-male final on the ITV show.

Scarlett's Emotional Exit

Speaking after her exit, a frustrated Scarlett said: 'I'm gutted that it's four blokes left. I wanted to do it for the girls! I'll let them enjoy their football chat around the table.' She had earlier admitted on the show that the conversation had become a bit blokey but insisted she was 'doing it for all the ladies that were in camp now' and added 'I can't let them down'.

Reflecting on Her Journey

Reflecting on her second time in the camp, she told hosts Ant and Dec: 'I'm just gutted I felt like I was so close, I was the last girl standing. This show honestly means everything to us, sorry if I cry, but it does. I just feel like growing up I watched you two on SMTV live and hearing your accents made me feel like if I wanted to do it, then I could, cos of you two. It means a lot. I've really had the best time.'

In an interview back at the hotel, Scarlett, who won the show in 2016, added: 'Last time I felt like a bit of an imposter. I was only twenty-five, I didn't really know where my place was or who I was as a person. I enjoyed it, but a lot of the time I felt overwhelmed. Whereas this time around, I know who I am so I just enjoyed it and went in there less intimidated.'

She added: 'Everyone was eccentrically wonderful and so different. Because we'd all done it before, there was some sense of calm. We weren't constantly on edge, because we knew our way around camp life.'

Support for Mo Farah

Scarlett, who announced her pregnancy this week, picked out Harry for praise, saying he was like 'your grandad' but that he was also very fit. However, asked who she wanted to win, she didn't hesitate and replied: 'Mo. Genuinely, even if I'd got into the final, I'd have said to people, 'If you were thinking of voting for me, you should vote for Mo'. Nobody deserves it as much as him. I really do hope he wins!'

Friendships and Memories

Having also bonded with Ashley Roberts and discussed serious topics like miscarriage in the camp, Scarlett has made some friends for life. Reflecting on what she would miss, she said: 'The campfire chats are what I'm going to miss the most. You have so much time in there, with no distractions, all you do is chat and reflect. Sir Mo Farah is such an amazing soul. I couldn't get over how forgiving he was, how kind he was. I think he's made me a better person.'
