Music mogul Simon Cowell and his long-term partner, Lauren Silverman, have offered fans a sweet peek into their private life, posting a loved-up holiday snap just after the release of his revealing Netflix documentary.
A Rare Look Behind the Scenes
The couple, who share an 11-year-old son named Eric, are currently enjoying a sun-soaked getaway. This follows the debut of Cowell's new Netflix show, The Next Act, which aired on December 10, 2025. The documentary, which follows Simon as he auditions hopefuls to form a new boyband, also provided a surprisingly personal window into his home life with Lauren.
Lauren, 48, shared the intimate photo on her Instagram, where she and Simon, 66, are seen snuggled together on a boat. She sported a red bathing suit and Chanel sunglasses, while Simon wore black swimming trunks with his arm wrapped around her. The image was simply captioned "Us" alongside a string of red heart emojis. She also posted a stunning shot of a "candy-coloured sky" at a picturesque beach.
From Name Change to Wedding Bells?
The documentary captured a significant moment for the pair: Lauren formally changing her surname to Cowell by deed poll. In the show, she explained that after creating a life and having a child with Simon, the change was about "forming a unity" within their family. Simon expressed his happiness about the decision, stating he "would really like you to change your name."
This move has further fuelled speculation about a potential wedding. Once known as one of the UK's most confirmed bachelors, Cowell proposed to Lauren on Christmas Eve 2021. He has since confirmed they will marry, but insists the ceremony will be a private affair. "When we decide to do it, it will be private, then people will know about it," he told US Weekly, adding, "We have a very, very close bond. I adore her. We are a very happy family, genuinely."
Overcoming Camera Shyness
Simon also revealed that Lauren was initially hesitant to appear on camera for The Next Act. "She was a bit reluctant in the beginning, and then she got more used to it," he said. He praised her authenticity, noting, "The funny thing about her is that she is identical on the show as she is in real life."
The combination of the candid documentary scenes and the romantic holiday photos has given the public an unprecedented view into the life of a couple who have famously valued their privacy, marking a new chapter for Simon Cowell, Lauren Silverman, and their young son Eric.
