Skye Wheatley Confirms Reconciliation with On-Again Partner Lachlan Waugh
Skye Wheatley Back with Lachlan Waugh After Split

Reality television personality and podcaster Skye Wheatley has publicly confirmed that she is once again back together with her on-and-off partner Lachlan Waugh, following their announced split in October last year.

Social Media Announcement Sparks Celebrity Reactions

The 31-year-old Big Brother alum shared the happy news to her social media followers on Monday, posting a clip that showed her and Lachlan tenderly embracing each other while celebrating on a boat. In the video, Skye showcased her figure in a skimpy two-piece outfit, while Lachlan appeared beaming from ear-to-ear in casual athleisure wear as he held his partner.

She captioned the emotional clip with a playful reference to their relationship pattern, writing: 'Life's good when you break up, get back together, break up, get back together.'

Many of Skye's celebrity friends and fellow influencers quickly flooded the comments section to congratulate the couple on their reconciliation. Fitness influencer Emilee Hembrow enthusiastically responded: 'Yay!!! Love you two,' while wellness personality Sarah's Day added: 'So proud of you guys.'

October Split Revealed Co-Parenting Challenges

This reunion comes just months after Skye confirmed in October that she and Lachlan had officially ended their seven-year relationship. During an appearance on her Nova Podcast Skye & Callum, the reality star revealed they were taking a break while continuing to co-parent their two young sons: six-year-old Forest and four-year-old Bear.

Speaking alongside her co-host and Love Island alumnus Callum Hole, Skye confessed that while the couple had experienced 'little breaks' throughout their relationship before, this separation represented their longest period apart. 'You heard it here first. There has been a breakup, but then we've been co-parenting,' she explained at the time.

Relationship Strains and Living Arrangements

The television personality elaborated that multiple pressures had taken a significant toll on their partnership, making it 'very hard to understand each other sometimes.' She cited the combined stress of work commitments, raising young children, managing a home renovation project, and running their own business as contributing factors to their difficulties.

'We'll usually have little breaks so we can just reset, then we usually come back. But this has definitely been the longest co-parenting split slash break we've ever had,' Skye revealed during the podcast episode.

The I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here winner became tearful as she admitted this separation felt like the closest they had come to permanently ending their relationship. She described the particular challenges of navigating a split while still sharing a home and parenting responsibilities together.

'We were pretty much cold turkey. We'd only contact each other if we needed to chat about the kids or whatever. But it was hard because we were still living under the same roof,' she shared.

Rumours and Public Speculation

Speculation about relationship troubles between the couple first began circulating among fans in September, when observers noted that Skye hadn't posted about Lachlan on her social media platforms for more than two months. The influencer's relationship came under increased public scrutiny during this period.

Skye further fueled breakup rumours during an Instagram Live session, when she responded cryptically to a fan who asked whether Lachlan had been unfaithful. 'I don't know... maybe,' was her ambiguous reply at the time.

Now, with Monday's social media announcement and the accompanying boat celebration clip, the couple appears to have navigated through their challenges and reunited, much to the delight of their supporters and celebrity friends.
